Calling all junior chefs! Grab your aprons and join us for a fun-filled winter cooking adventure! This 8-session course is split into two parts: the first four sessions focus on savoury dishes, while the final four are all about desserts and baking—a change made in response to popular demand for more sweet recipes! With our expert chef instructors, kids will learn new skills through fun, hands-on and interactive cooking sessions. What’s Included? 8 sessions, each featuring a new recipe All ingredients and equipment provided A completion certificate for every participant What’s on the Menu? Eggs – Explore this versatile ingredient through shakshuka, tortilla, poached eggs and more. Pizza – Make your dough from scratch, choose your toppings and bake your pizza in a proper pizza oven. Pies – Master shortcrust pastry and create both a savoury and a sweet pie. Spices – Discover how to combine spices to create beef and rice pilaf, tahini-yoghurt sauce and spiced toasted nuts. Apple Pie & Custard – Make a delicious apple pie from scratch and learn how to prepare homemade custard. Choux Pastry & Mousse – Learn the techniques behind choux pastry and turn it into delicious profiteroles. Chocolate Cake & Frosting – Make a chocolate cake from scratch and create the perfect chocolate frosting to go with it. Brioche – Finish the course by exploring the versatility of brioche dough, from sweet cinnamon buns to savoury creations. Frequently Asked Questions Is prior experience required? Not at all! No previous cooking experience is needed. Small group sizes ensure every child receives plenty of guidance and attention. What age group is this for? The sessions are designed for children aged 8–14 years. Will they eat what they cook? Absolutely! At the end of each session, our junior chefs can enjoy what they’ve prepared in-house or take it home to enjoy later. Where are the sessions held? All classes take place in our fully equipped kitchen in Naxxar.
